Notable Sector Deals: December 2024
Dual acquisition by Electiva Healthcare
Dual deals for Electiva Healthcare, with the addition of two Scottish clinics, Clinica Medica and La Belle Forme
Clinica Medica provides medical grade aesthetic treatments, private GP and online pharmacy services in Glasgow
La Belle Forme offers a range of day surgery and non-surgical aesthetic and cosmetic treatments
Electiva is part of the Y1 Capital portfolio, which includes cosmetic surgery provider Signature Medical
The deals also provide a platform for further diversification of the group into health assessments, laboratory testing and diagnostic scanning
Redmoor Health‘s acquisition of The Well Led Practice
Palatine-backed digital transformation provider Redmoor Health has acquired The Well Led Practice
The Well Led Practice is a self development and leadership platform for healthcare practices and primary care networks throughout the UK
The deal will strengthen Redmoor’s comprehensive support services for primary care networks, GP practices and integrated care boards, while enabling these organisations to improve operational efficiency and staff retention
This marks the first acquisition for Redmoor following the investment from Palatine’s Impact Fund in 2022
Phoenix’s acquisition of London Gynaecology
Private equity firm Phoenix has invested into London Gynaecology, the UK’s leading private gynaecology group
London Gynaecology delivers women’s health services six days a week with over twenty consultants working across three sites in London
The deal will see London Gynaecology expand its practice network through London and across the UK
With a growing awareness of women’s health issues and long NHS waiting times for these services, demand for high quality gynaecology care has grown in recent years
The deal is another example of strong PE interest in the clinical services space
Acquisition of The Dermatology Partnership by Bupa
A highly complementary deal for Bupa with the acquisition of The Dermatology Partnership, providing an exit for August Equity
With a total of seven clinics located through the UK, The Dermatology Partnership provides private dermatology services through the latest technologies
The deal will aid Bupa’s long-term goal of providing more direct to consumer services, supporting The Dermatology Partnership’s continued geographical expansion across the UK
The deal follows Bupa’s acquisitions earlier this year of London Medical and Blackberry Clinic
